Position Summary
This position is for Head Tutor for Operations & Assessment The ideal candidate would be committed to personal growth, possess excellent communication skills, be prepared to handle teaching and admin duties, and be able to develop strong connections with staff. Flexibility is a must. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the tutorial department’s operations
    • Ensure substitute coverage
    • Prepare weekly bulletin files
    • Generate/maintain skill reports in coordination with the academic team
    • Order materials for tutors as needed
    • Plan and prepare summer work
    • Equip tutors to send conference invites
  • Analyze data on students for enrollment and placement
    • Participate on the Admissions committee
    • Collaborate with Admissions for student visits
    • Organize and collect student information from tutors
    • Meet with tutors at year end to discuss student progress and needs
    • Make placements for tutorial
    • Assess tutorial staffing needs
    • Recommend candidates for hire as tutors
  • Oversee administration, scoring, and interpretation of standardized and informal assessments in fall, winter, and spring
    • Set the schedule
    • Organize staff
    • Order testing materials
  • Maintain precise records of assessments
    • Update testing database as needed
    • Ensure accuracy of testing reports given to parents
  • Collaborate with training team for who will handle in-house professional development for tutors, practicum and non-practicum observations, and OG mentorship
    • Members of the training team will assist with assessment, tutor checkout, and fall placement process
  • Participate in Academic Team meetings
  • Tutor a student one period
Minimum Position Requirements
  • OGA Certified Level (Certified members-in-training may apply with the recommendation of their practicum supervisor)

Facilities Custodian/Technician

Position Summary
This position is a full-time, year-round position reporting to the Director of Operations and Head of School. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and custodial duties to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities. This I a vital role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our employees and students.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, and fixing minor plumbing issues
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify any maintenance or repair needs
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness
  • Perform floor care duties including buffing and waxing floors
  • Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment for meetings or events
  • Handle basic repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting walls or replacing damaged furniture
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
  • Appearance of buildings (internal and external)
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the building including restrooms, floors, and trash removal
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties
  • Bodily fluid cleanup
  • Drive buses as needed for field trips
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Position Requirements
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of custodial / maintenance experience
  • Clean driving and criminal record and ability to drive a mid-sized bus (background check will be required)
  • Specific skills as a plumber, electrician, carpenter, or related trade are highly desirable. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance procedures and practices
  • Employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
