Admissions Process

In order to understand your child's unique learning needs, we seek information from many sources, including parents, current teachers, tutors, therapists, and a licensed psychologist. The admissions process is explained in detail below.

1. Parent tour and meeting: Call 864-244-8899 ext. 103

Tours, offered at 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.,
Monday–Thursday, give families the chance to see
classrooms in action, ask questions, and experience the
Camperdown community firsthand.

2. Online Application

Psychoeducational Testing within the past 2 years is required. If your child is in need of testing, please contact Keri Knisley. Click here for the online application.

3. Observation of prospective student in their current classroom

A classroom visit to observe the prospective student in their everyday school environment and better understand their learning style.

4. Student visitation at Camperdown Academy (1-2 days)

Prospective students are invited on campus for individualized visit days to participate in classroom activities. A campus visit will be arranged during Camp Creekside for those applying during the summer months.

5. Admissions Committee meeting

Our committee brings together experienced faculty and staff to review prospective students holistically.

6. Enrollment decision and parent notification

The Admission Director will reach out within a week after the student visit to relay a decision and/or to discuss next steps.
