Camperdown Academy Summer Camp
(rising 1st - 6th grade students)
- Focus on core skills of reading, writing, and math
- 5:1 student to teacher ratio
- Small group tutorial sessions daily with Orton-Gillingham trained teachers
- Camperdown students will complete required summer reading & math
- Weekly themes to keep students engaged with learning and loving summer
Week 1: Stroke of Art
This week, campers will have the opportunity to experiment with a range of painting styles and techniques as they creatively dive, dip, and brush their way to new masterpieces.
Week 2: STEM-tastic
STEM education opens up an array of opportunities for campers to explore and create. During a fun week of hands-on activities, campers will design and transform the challenges presented to them, one project at a time.
Week 3: Board Battles
Campers will have the opportunity to experience the thrilling world of board games where they can showcase their competitive nature and also have the chance to create their very own board game parts. Get ready for a fun-filled adventure that combines learning and play!
Week 4: Sports are a BALL
Explore a range of exciting sports activities from basketball to pickleball to volleyball, and have a blast while learning the fundamentals of each game. Campers will experience the thrill of competition and have endless fun in the process.
Week 5: Olympics - Go for Gold!
Campers are in for an exciting time as they gear up to participate in Olympic-inspired games and "Go for Gold" in the final week of camp. The highlight of the week will undoubtedly be Water Day, where campers get to experience the thrill of Soak the General, a game that promises to be an absolute blast!
