About Screenings
Recognizing the compelling research that highlights the importance of early identification of students' needs and the potency of early intervention, Camperdown Academy seeks opportunities to identify students as young as four or five years old who are at risk for reading failure.
A screening can indicate whether a child is exhibiting specific difficulties in reading and language development. A screening does not provide an official diagnosis, but can indicate if further testing by a psychologist is beneficial.
If your child demonstrates difficulty with acquiring reading and literacy skills and shows early signs of reading difficulty, a screening might be a helpful tool.
