What is dyslexia?

A specific learning disability that affects the brain's ability to process language; it makes reading, spelling, and writing more difficult

What are the early signs of dyslexia?

Trouble rhyming, difficulty learning letter sounds, slow or inaccurate reading, frequent spelling errors, and trouble recalling words

Can dyslexia be cured?

It is lifelong, but with early identification and structured literacy instruction, like Orton-Gillingham, students can thrive

How is dyslexia diagnosed?

Through a comprehensive evaluation by a trained professional (psychologist, speech language pathologist…) that looks at reading, spelling, language, and cognitive skills
