A Camperdown Student

• Has a primary diagnosis of a language-based learning difference, such as dyslexia
   
• Has average (or better) cognitive ability
   
• May also have a secondary diagnosis of ADHD, auditory processing disorder, or anxiety
   
• Has difficulty with decoding, fluency, and/or comprehension
   
• Struggles with spelling, written expression, and/or organization
   
• Performs well in reasoning, problem-solving, or creativity, but feels frustrated by reading and writing tasks
   
• Has received support in a traditional setting, but not shown expected progress
