A Camperdown Student

- Has a primary diagnosis of a language-based learning difference, such as dyslexia
- Has average (or better) cognitive ability
- May also have a secondary diagnosis of ADHD, auditory processing disorder, or anxiety
- Has difficulty with decoding, fluency, and/or comprehension
- Struggles with spelling, written expression, and/or organization
- Performs well in reasoning, problem-solving, or creativity, but feels frustrated by reading and writing tasks
- Has received support in a traditional setting, but not shown expected progress
Please Note:
This unique environment may not be the best fit for every student who learns differently. The expert staff at Camperdown do not have the specific training needed to serve students with a diagnosis of:
-Autism
-Emotional disability
-Conduct disorders
