Who we serve 

  • Grades 1-8

  • Gifted and capable learners 

  • Average to above-average cognitive ability 

  • Primary diagnosis of a language-based learning difference, such as dyslexia 

    • While some students may also have a secondary diagnosis  (examples: ADHD, APD…), no one is admitted with these diagnoses alone

Students not best served at Camperdown

  • This unique environment may not be the best fit for every student who learns differently. The expert staff at Camperdown do not have the specific training needed to best serve students with a diagnosis of:

    • autism

    • emotional disability

    • conduct disorders

Common Student Profile

A potential Camperdown student may: 

  • Have difficulty with decoding, fluency, and/or comprehension
     
  • Struggle with spelling, written expression, and/or organization
     
  • Perform well in reasoning, problem-solving, or creativity, but feel frustrated by reading and writing tasks
     
  • Have received support in a traditional setting, but not shown expected progress
